just had to type it.. hahaha..
nothing could ever top my birthday last year that my bff planned.. and that SOOO many people made *super* special....
but this year, i just wanted to get a bunch of friends together to laugh, be silly, enjoy beverages, and hang on the island...
it was a crazy silly time thats for sure ;) lots of laughs.. lots of beverages.. and very domestic like snacks made by ME ;) go figure.
everyone was in doodling, signing writing on my bathroom wall, which i *love* how its turning out... and see something different everytime i *cough* sit down ;)
i totally think im going to create a cute (of course) necklace notebook... so when your at a snazzy party like mine and something funny is said... you can jot it down.. instead of saying " we have to remember that"
i adore the gorgeous flowers i got.... from a random bartender ;)
as i was getting things ready on friday, and making cupcakes... i was remembering how my gram would have me cook/bake with her... i remembered a few of the suggestions she taught me.. like my 2nd batch of cupcakes i didnt have enough batter to fill all the cups, so i added water into the empties... that was totally her teaching.... little things like that come back to me about her, makes me miss her like crazy
dear erin, please don't be afraid of me... yes i have spooned you and yes i enjoyed a jello shot out of your cleavage.... but dont all friends share that!?
i love that even though melyssa with a y is in washington state... she was able to share some of my island party with me.. and meet everyone there, gotta love webcams ;) i think i should charge her for the entertainment i gave....

i have a feeling next gift giving season i may get a silverware set or 2 LOL... sorry girls, i wasnt planning on a "shurk" icecream cake :)
i'm glad i had nicky around to step in and take over the bartending job.. so what if she was confusing the OJ and Limeade ;) noone noticed hehehehe

this girl makes me cry every year with her birthday post to me.....
i got soo many birthday cards from other a muse addicts... thank you girls sooo much!!
i think its hilarious that as soon as i found the random guy i was dancing with was a yankees fan.. i gave him a lot of sh*t and walked away :)
lots of other funny things to remember, but some things that happen on the island.. have to stay on the island ;)

monday is my grandma mccormacks service, she passed away in december, so we're laying her to rest on ... it will be weird to be around my step mother and such... havent seen her since she left my dad back in 96.....

i have today and 2morrow off.... working on some island projects, getting ready for my birthday gathering next friday.... also working on some a muse projects...
AND 2morrow i was going to set up shop at the store and crop for national scrapbook day... but then i decided to set up shop in my crafty space and get some creative things done, in my fun space... the thing is when i'm alone on a day off i tend to procrastinate.... soo i'm going to post here 2morrow am what i would like to do.. and i'll update it throughout the day.. so that YOU GUYS can hold me accountable ;) sound like a plan!!??
i'm also starting my daily cards today. i miss them. life has been sooo busy lately i just didn't have time, but i'm not beating myself up for it.. i do them when i can, its that simple......
napoleon is back home... i think he enjoyed his stay on the island... loved sitting in the windows watching the birds (see pic below)... loved walking over my face at 3 am..... :) he definately gave me the "bug" to want a kitty again... just not 100% sure i'm ready.. yet... but the thought is there :)
looking forward to a fun weekend at the store in honor of national scrapbooking day... then driving up to NH to have some margs with my NH girls and a random bartender... what better way to celebrate cinco de mayo... 2 nights in a row!!! I'm sure there will be fun pictures to share ;)
last week i was walking back to my car in NH.. and saw this sign... and it just made me giggle... good ol iphone snapped a pic for me ( there used to be a hooters bar there.. but hasnt been for quite awhile... just funny...)
soooo.... more about my trip to the queen's ink in Maryland.....
of course there was a bunch of delays, and not so fun times in the airport, but i'm beginning to accept that thats just how things are now a days....
my classes were a TON of fun, i met some new a muse addicts... i enabled NEW a muse addicts and even had some first time stampers ( i love those ;) )
you'll see the pic of steve and i.... he's from MD BUT he lives in MA now, and is part of my stamp club at Colorful Creations... he goes down to MD a lot to stamp with his friend toni ( it was nice to meet her ;) ) AND to play golf.... so anyways... he comes strolling into my class... LATE and not signed up!!! man oh man, he owes me BIG time....

this week is travel city as well ;)
so far i have taught classes at the paper tree and ink about it.. and on sunday i will be up at absolutely everything ( there's still time to call and sign up!!!)
i've been enjoying my traveling.... it really does become my time to think... gather thoughts and sleep in a ton of random beds ;)
some new things for me on the horizon.....
i have some fun class thoughts rolling around in my head for this fall, more on that later!!
i am single again.... yes you heard me correctly... it was a decision i had to make for me, and i know that even though it wasn't easy... i made the right decision.... i have learned a lot about myself in the past year... it's almost been a year since i moved... and the most important thing i have learned is i have to put myself first... and do what i think is best for me, because i'm stuck with me for a loooong time ;)
everything happens for a reason..... right ??!!
i have had sooo much fun these past couple months... seeing all my friends in NH.. reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones ;) i say it all the time on here... but i really do have the best friends ever!! they pretty much rock!!

my travel schedule is slowing down a bit... so i'm looking forward to re-looking at the island... getting some decorating done in time for my birthday gathering....
let me start off by saying I had a fabulous time at the queens ink in md!!!! I have pics stories and plans to return ill share with you later....
right now I'm just frustrated...
at the fact that all my planes are being delayed... I just want to get home!! ( although you DO always meet interesting people when traveling alone huh?)

sooo i guess i'm used to my old man watcher, he was much easier to photograph.... napoleon is more interested in head butting my hand so i will pet him ;) ( of course as i sit here to post this.. hes stretched out on the floor in pause mode) soo napoleon is visiting, kinda nice having a lil friend on the island.... he has helped me finish kitting and packing ( and by help i mean distract :) )
sooo i'm outta here till late sunday night.... dont worry, sarah ( watchers cat sitter) is going to check in on napoleon 2morrow...
heading to maryland.... i'm good now, excited :) and i'll be even happier when i know the pkgs i sent with 90% of my class supplies arrived safely ......
next week is another super busy one... traveling off cape 4 out of the 7 days.... so not sure how much blog posting i'll do... suppose i should figure out how on my iphone huh??
i'm enjoying this awesome weather!!! i love that i can walk to the beach from my island.. LOVE that!!!
