i made 120 of these this year... i'm seriously considering starting a new tradition and sending out "summer cards" instead of christmas cards
1. i'm not a huge fan of the holidays
2. the holidays are so hectic ( not that summer isnt, but still..)
3. and i much rather share and celebrate my love for summer.....
so we will see, you might see a switch on when you get a card from me next year...
it's almost 2011!! CRAZY!
big changes are coming, big announcements.... and other fun stuff... stay tuned :)
mister harley and i are hibernating on the island.. the east coast is getting hit with a pretty bad storm, and i'm just thankful i didn't lose my power :)
i thought this years cards were going to be simple... there was no stamping... they seemed like they were going to go together easily.. but these snowflakes took f-o-r-e-v-e-r! lots of glossy accents, quickie glue pens ( i went through 3!!) mica flakes and glitter :) if you got one.. feel free to tear off the snowflake and use it on something else ;)
see you in 2011!
Since you are such a beach, sun and summer worshipper, it makes perfect sense for you to send summer cards instead of winder holiday cards!!! Love that Mr. Harley sings, too, along with all his other talents. :)

Thanks for posting a photo of your card. It looks great! I can see why you were going crazy with all the gluing.

This little beauty arrived in my mailbox yesterday and I squealed out loud! How cute is that Mr. Harley? Presh. Geoff was even impressed with the snowflake ... so you KNOW it's awesome. :)

Great looking card, Jenn. Love the idea, too, of removing the snowflake for another use. For the time being, though, I'm keeping my card whole. Very inspirational.

I loved my card! Summer cards sound like a great idea too - pick a point halfway to Christmas and celebrate it in July! Happy New Year to you and Mr. Harley. Will he sign Auld Lang Syne at midnight?
